This is the extraordinary story of how the Vatican kidnapping of a six-year old Jewish boy in 1858 became a pivotal event in the collapse of the Vatican as a secular power. Even if you did not read the book, the discussion will open your eyes to a little discussed historic event that led to the emergence of Italy as a modern national state. Join in person and via Zoom.
