| Temple Kol Emeth is known as the synagogue that sings.
We believe so strongly in the power and joy of music that we ask all
congregants to sing at services and "if you don't know it, fake it!"
In addition, Temple Kol Emeth is extremely proud of our kids. As
such, they are a major part of TKE’s musical community.
Shir Y'ladeem, or Song of Children, is TKE’s junior choir. The children sing for various services throughout the year, including select Friday night services, High Holy Days, and special services such as Craig Taubman's "Friday Night Live" and the incredible Purim Spiel! Through song and participation in services, the children build confidence and knowledge of Jewish music and liturgy. The kids enhance their own spirituality and that of the entire congregation. Shir Y'ladeem meets each Sunday morning when Sunday school is in session in the main Sanctuary from 10:20am to 10:50am. No auditions are required. Kids of all ages are welcome. No experience is necessary -- just a desire to sing, participate and have fun! For more info, please send an e-mail to juniorchoir@kolemeth.net. |
