Honoring Israel

This fall, we will mark one year since the horrific violence that brought such immense pain and sadness to our souls. The Atlanta Jewish Community will hold communal gatherings on October 7, 2024, corresponding to the Gregorian date, and October 27, 2024, corresponding to the Hebrew date. We will participate in these gatherings and will provide more information as it becomes available.

As a community, Temple Kol Emeth will commemorate this anniversary with a special service on Yom Kippur afternoon at approximately 5:10 p.m. We will acknowledge our pain, express our wish for the remaining hostages to be brought home, and yearn for a peaceful tomorrow with poetry, music, and the sounding of the shofar.
